10 Key Changes In Malaysia’s New Preschool Curriculum (KP2026)

By marcom@micci.com December 3, 2025

Dear WhyteHouse Parents,

Beginning 2026, Malaysia will introduce the Kurikulum Prasekolah 2026 (KP2026), a renewed national preschool curriculum designed to support children in more holistic and meaningful ways.

While curriculum changes can feel distant from day-to-day family life, this one reflects what we see in children every day: they learn best through curiosity, connection, play, and real-world experiences. KP2026 places strong emphasis on these foundations, alongside core competencies such as communication, emotional development, thinking skills, responsibility, creativity, and digital awareness.

To help families make sense of what this shift means for your child, we’ve put together a parent-friendly infographic that highlights the key features of KP2026 and how it shapes classroom experiences, learning environments, and early development.

Thank you for partnering with us in nurturing children who are not only ready for school, but ready for the world.
