On 29 August 2025, the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) welcomed a delegation from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), India, on a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new collaboration opportunities between Malaysian and Indian businesses.

The session was led by Mr. Lee Han Ling, Executive Director of MICCI, who highlighted MICCI’s 188-year legacy as one of the country’s oldest chambers, dedicated to supporting international trade, investment, and policy advocacy, alongside MICCI members Ms. Mag Ng and Mr. Yong Shou Chong of Mega Fortris Berhad, and Ms. Nurul Azwa of Universiti Malaya. The PHDCCI delegation was led by Mr. Anuj Khanna, Co-Chair of the Housing & Urban Development Committee, accompanied by Mr. Rakesh Shukla, Joint Secretary, and several senior industry leaders.

Discussion focused on strengthening industry–university collaboration, advancing digital transformation for operational efficiency, exploring investment opportunities in India’s housing and luxury real estate sectors, and fostering partnerships in manufacturing, fire safety, packaging, consulting, and technology transfer.

The meeting concluded with both chambers reaffirming their commitment to fostering closer economic cooperation between Malaysia and India, with plans for follow-up engagements, reciprocal visits, and targeted business matching initiatives in priority sectors.
