Another key initiative discussed was the potential co-organisation of the East Coast International Expo, aimed at promoting regional trade and investment across Pahang and neighbouring East Coast states.
The meeting also addressed MICCI Central’s intention to establish a permanent regional office in Pahang, including a dedicated corporate services desk to better support members in the long term. Further, MICCI Central expressed interest in supporting sustainable agricultural development in the state by exploring bamboo plantation projects aimed at improving food security. YB Dato’ Mohamad Nizar welcomed this idea and encouraged MICCI Central to submit a detailed proposal, with the possibility of launching a pilot initiative in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). The MICCI Central Branch looks forward to continued engagement with the Pahang State Government and working together towards tangible outcomes that benefit both the business community and the state’s socio-economic development.
