Beginning 1 January 2026, Malaysia will introduce a phased implementation of the self-assessment regime for stamp duty, shifting greater responsibility to taxpayers to accurately assess and pay the duty.
This briefing aims to equip members with a clear understanding of the current tax framework and to provide practical insights into the upcoming self-assessment process.
