The Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) proudly celebrated its 188th Anniversary with a Gala Dinner on 18 August 2025 at Holiday Villa Johor Bahru, hosted by the MICCI Southern Region. The evening gathered distinguished guests, industry leaders, government officials, and members of the business community to honour MICCI’s legacy and contribution to trade, commerce, and industry in Malaysia.

We were honoured to welcome YB Tuan Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, as our Guest of Honour. In his address, he highlighted the shifting global business landscape, noting that with tariffs imposed by the US, Malaysia must diversify beyond traditional markets and explore new trade and investment opportunities.

Also gracing the event was YB Tuan Lee Ting Han, Chairman of the Johor State Executive Council for Investment, Trade and Human Resource, who shared insights on the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and its transformative potential in positioning Johor as a hub for trade, investment, and innovation.
