MICCI Hosts Courtesy Visit From The Hong Kong General Chamber Of Commerce

On 19 November 2025, the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) welcomed a delegation from the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC) for a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening bilateral engagement and exploring new areas of collaboration between Malaysia and Hong Kong.

The visit was led by Dato’ Azman Shah, Vice President of MICCI, who reaffirmed MICCI’s commitment to supporting international partnerships and driving industry development. The HKGCC delegation was headed by Mr. Dewan Saiful Alam, who represented a vibrant group of business leaders from sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, technology, investment and professional services.

The session featured an engaging exchange of insights on enhancing trade connectivity, widening market opportunities and encouraging cooperation in areas including halal food development, certification, digital innovation and security technologies. Both chambers also discussed potential knowledge sharing activities, business matching initiatives and future collaborative programmes that could support companies seeking regional growth.

The courtesy visit concluded with MICCI and HKGCC expressing a strong commitment to deepening Malaysia and Hong Kong economic relations and continuing meaningful engagement in the years ahead.
