Shape the future of digital trade with MICCI’s E-Commerce Chapter

“Where Policy Meets Innovation”

E-Commerce Chapter

The Malaysia E-Commerce Chapter is a special interest group under the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI), established in 2024 to represent and advocate for the interests of Malaysia’s leading digital commerce platforms. Its members include Shopee Malaysia, Lazada Malaysia, Mudah.my, Carousell, and TikTok Shop Malaysia.

The Chapter acts as a collective voice for the e-commerce industry, serving as a trusted partner to government and regulatory agencies on matters related to digital trade, logistics, taxation, consumer protection, and SME empowerment.

Our roles and functions include:
1. Policy Advocacy: Engaging with government ministries, agencies, and regulators to
provide industry perspectives on proposed policies, regulations, and reforms affecting
the digital commerce sector.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as a platform for dialogue and collaboration between
the public and private sectors to support informed and balanced policymaking.
3. Industry Representation: Consolidating member feedback and coordinating joint
responses on regulatory matters, market reviews, and legislative consultations.
4. Knowledge Sharing: Facilitating information exchange and best practices among
members to enhance industry standards, governance, and operational efficiency.
5. Capacity Building: Supporting initiatives that strengthen digital capabilities, seller
competitiveness, and ecosystem resilience, particularly for MSMEs participating in e-commerce.

Through these efforts, the Malaysia E-Commerce Chapter aims to contribute to the long-term
growth, innovation, and inclusivity of Malaysia’s digital economy.
