INTI International College Penang Invited MICCI Northern Branch Committee for Chinese New Year Tok Panjang Dinner 2024

INTI International College Penang, School of Hospitality & Culinary arts extended an invitation to MICCI Northern Branch Committee members and selected guests to experience an enchanting homage to the rich heritage of Baba & Nyonya culture as part of INTI’s CNY celebrations.
The special festive Tok Panjang Dinner was celebrated on a once in 4 years leap day, 29 February, 2024. INTI College kept true to their promise to deliver a celebration, inspired by the lavish Peranakan tradition of a “long table” feast and an unforgettable evening filled with cultural richness and culinary delights for its distinguished guests.
The evening featured a fusion of authentic Peranakan dishes that were meticulously prepared and presented by the talented chefs from the School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts. Their expertise ensured a fresh and innovative take on traditional favourites. To cap the gastronomical culinary experience the IICP’s students presented an evening of entertainment serving up hospitality with flair, and wowing the crowd with captivating performances from the INTI Dance Club and IICP 24 Festive Drums. In the spirit of the evening, the guests were encouraged to dress in the finest Baba & Nyonya-inspired or cultural attire to add a touch of elegance to the festivities, which many did.
The evening was attend by the MICCI Northern Branch Chairman, Dato’ Brian Tan and many of the Branch Committee Members. A heartfelt thank you to the talented team from INTI College Penang’s School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts (SOHOS) for crafting a spectacular Baba Nyonya themed dinner and for their great hospitality and showmanship. It warms the heart when cultural heritage and traditions are not only remembered but kept alive and celebrated in the spirit of a true multi-racial country as ours.
