Guizhou Delegation Courtesy Visit to MICCI Central Branch

On 25th September 2025, the Guizhou Investment Promotion Bureau paid a courtesy visit to the MICCI Central Branch. The delegation was led by Mr. Liu Hao, Deputy Director of the Guizhou Promotion Bureau, Ms. Lyu Tianyan of the Guizhou Vegetable Group, Mr. Weng Tao, Director of the Guizhou Provincial State-Owned Longli Forest Farm, Mr. Wang Li, Vice-President of the Guizhou Logistics Industry Association, and Mr. Zheng Jingjie, a Director-level Officer of the Industrial Promotion Division.

The visit was hosted by Mr. Shaun Edward Cheah, Vice Chair II of MICCI Central Branch, accompanied by Ms. See Mei Qi, Honorary Treasurer, Mr. Kim Tan, General Committee Member, and Ms. Lee Mina, member of MICCI Central. The event was organized by Mr. Wayne Shu, Advocacy Manager.

The meeting focused on discussions regarding collaboration between both parties to promote Guizhou products in Malaysia, as well as Malaysian products in Guizhou province. The discussions were fruitful, covering Malaysia’s current regulatory framework on import and export, and highlighting halal certification, which is a key global product requirement. During the session, an introduction to Guizhou’s native food products was also presented, with the aim of leveraging MICCI’s network to expand their reach nationwide.

Meanwhile, the delegation extended an invitation to the MICCI Central Branch Committee to attend the Guizhou Business Forum at KLCC, to further explore potential business opportunities in the province.
