The Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) formalised their commitment to enhanced bilateral cooperation with the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 27 May 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). Held on the sidelines of the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, the ceremony marked a significant step forward in strengthening economic relations between Malaysia and Bahrain.

 

Representing MICCI was Mr. Kelvin Kee, General Committee member, who participated in the ceremony, demonstrating MICCI’s strong commitment to fostering international trade and economic collaboration. This MoU establishes a comprehensive framework to enhance cooperation and strengthen business engagement between both chambers.

 

The exchange ceremony was witnessed by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, following their bilateral meeting, further underscoring the strategic significance of this partnership.

 

This milestone reflects a shared vision to foster cross-border opportunities, promote economic resilience, and deepen ties between the Malaysian and Bahraini business communities.
