MICCI Southern Monthly Get-Together – January 2026

The Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) successfully organized its Monthly Get-Together on 15 January 2026 at Infinity8 Reserve, Mid Valley Southkey, in partnership with the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) and Infinity8.

The highlight of the programme was a special presentation on “Understanding the NPCO to the U.S. Application”, aimed at enhancing members’ understanding of the Non-Preferential Certificate of Origin (NPCO) requirements for exports to the United States.

The session commenced with a welcome note by Mr. Chong Ying Haan, Secretary of MICCI Southern, followed by a welcome message by Ms. Suki Chan, Business Development Manager of Infinity8.

The main presentation on the NPCO application process was delivered by Cik Ain Husna of MITI, who provided a clear and practical overview of the procedures and requirements involved.

This was followed by a second presentation update by Puan Nurulhuda Binti Harun, Principal Assistant Director of MITI Johor who shared further insights on Free Trade Agreements (FTA’s) and the implementation of the NPCO for exports to the United States.

The event was attended by approximately 60 participants, comprising MICCI members and invited guests.

An interactive Q&A session ensued, during which participants actively engaged with the speakers to seek clarifications on the topics presented.

The programme concluded with a mini tour of Infinity8, giving participants an opportunity to experience the facilities and co-working environment.

As a gesture of appreciation, tokens of appreciation were presented to Ms. Suki Chan of Infinity8, Puan Nurulhuda Binti Harun of MITI, Cik Rosazanaain of MITI, and Cik Ain Husna of MITI for their valuable contributions and support towards the success of the event.
