On 18th August 2023, H.E Mr Marko Ham, Ambassador of Slovenia to Australia and New Zealand, and Special Envoy to the Pacific, and Dato’ Seri Chan Kong Yew, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Slovenia, paid a courtesy visit to the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI). Attendance by, Ms. Renuka Indrarajah, Vice-President of MICCI, Mr. Shaun Edward Cheah, Executive Director of MICCI, Mr. Lim Chong Ling, General Committee of MICCI.

Followed by, Mr. Sangar Kandasamy, Co-Chairman of the Joint Action and Security Council (JASCO), Mr. Mohamad Ali Abdul Hussian, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd, and members of Malaysian Consortium of Mid-Tier Companies (MCMTC).

We extend our gratitude to the Republic of Slovenia’s delegation for gracing us with their presence and engaging in fruitful discussions. The courtesy visit has laid a solid foundation for closer ties and increased collaboration between the Republic of Slovenia and MICCI.

This event marks the commencement of a fruitful partnership between MICCI and the Republic of Slovenia, as they embark on exploring trade opportunities and jointly endeavour to tap into the business potential of Central Europe.

MICCI eagerly anticipates further engagements with the Republic of Slovenia in the near future.
