The โ€œCapital Market Funding for Mid-Tier Companies & SMEsโ€ session was held as part of the Johor CoSIF Roadshow, an initiative organized by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI). This programme builds on the nationwide outreach of the NIMP Strategic Co-Investment Fund (NIMP CoSIF) under the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030, with the aim of catalyzing growth in the manufacturing sector through NIMPCoSIF.

MICCI Southern Region Chairman Mr. Lee Ting Kiat, EXCO Member Mr. Joe Pua, and Branch Manager Ms. Olivia Chin were present at the event.

The event aimed to raise awareness of NIMPCoSIF, a government co-investment fund designed to support business growth and industry upgrading among Malaysian Mid-Tier Companies and SMEs. It also highlighted capital market fundraising avenues, particularly Equity Crowdfunding (ECF) and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Financing, as alternative financing options.

Participants were briefed on how these platforms provide accessible fundraising opportunities, capital diversification, and support for business expansion. The roadshow reinforced the governmentโ€™s commitment to fostering private sector development and expanding access to capital market funding.

The organizers also announced that the Kuala Lumpur edition of the CoSIF Roadshow will take place on 28 November 2025. This upcoming session has been posted in the MICCI Bulletin, and members are invited to participate on a first-come, first served basis.

The session provided valuable insights into alternative capital market financing opportunities and highlighted the governmentโ€™s continued efforts to support business growth and competitiveness under NIMP 2030.
