MICCI Southern Monthly Get-Together: November 2025

The Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) Southern Region monthly get- together for November 2025 was successfully held at Wisma Sunway Big Box, bringing together members and industry partners for an evening of networking and knowledge-sharing.

The event featured two key presentations:

• 𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗣 (𝗦𝘂𝗻𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗜𝘀𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶) 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗸 𝗔.𝗕. 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗾 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝘄𝗮𝘆.

• 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝗼𝗵 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗧𝗡𝗕 (𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗮𝗱)

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: 𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗣 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

• SCIP is a 2,000-acre integrated township, over 30% developed, with 40% dedicated to green and open spaces.

• Located just 5 minutes from the Second Link (Tuas), offering excellent accessibility to Singapore.

• A comprehensive development comprising residential, education, commercial, retail, leisure, hospitality, and medical components.

• Built on the concept “Live, Learn, Work, Play, Stay,” supported by a robust integrated security system.

• Sunway also shared several upcoming and ongoing development plans, showcasing the township’s continued growth and future direction.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: 𝗧𝗡𝗕’𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 – 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝟭 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

• New billing structure replacing the multi-tiered system with component-based model comprising: Energy Charge, Capacity Charge, Network Charge, Retail Charge, and Automatic Fuel Adjustment (AFA)

• AFA replaces Imbalance Cost Pass Through (ICPT) and will be adjusted monthly based on global fuel prices making it more transparent for users.

• Incentives include the Energy Efficiency Incentive (EEI), Retail Charge Waiver, targeted rebates for e-Kasih households, and a 10% rebate for schools and places of worship.

• Expanded TOU (Time of Use) options for domestic and non-domestic users.

• Non-domestic users are now categorized by voltage bands: Low Voltage (LV), Medium Voltage (MV), and High Voltage.

• TNB promotes green energy adoption through it’s subsidiary GSPARX Sdn. Bhd. offering solar solutions.

The session began with a Welcome Address by Mr. Lee Ting Kiat, Chairman of MICCI Southern Region, followed by a warm Welcome Note delivered by Mr. Pu Suan Hau, Chief Operating Officer of Sunway Iskandar Sdn. Bhd.

The evening concluded with active networking and engagement among members, strengthening business connections within the community.
