MICCI At MITI Dialogue 2024 : Pioneering Sustainable Solutions for Malaysia's Economic Future

In a groundbreaking MITI Dialogue held on 29th January 2024, attended by Dato’ Azman, Vice President of the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI), Ms. Harpreet Kaur, General Manager of MICCI, Mr. Shahrul, and Mr. Callum Chen.
Two key points were highlighted Green Electric Tariffs (GET) and Electric Vehicles (EVs) by Dato Azman on behalf of MICCI as strategic blueprints for Malaysia’s economic future.
MITI, in response to the need for cleaner energy solutions, aims to develop a model for longer subscription tariffs for Green Electric Tariffs. This model, once established, will incentivize businesses committed to green energy consumption. The focus is on encouraging sustainable practices and positioning Malaysia as a leader in renewable energy adoption.
Addressing the points raised by MICCI, YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz emphasized the importance of addressing these issues promptly to avoid being left out of crucial developments.
As the efforts to address challenges across the entire Electric Vehicle lifecycle. This partnership focuses on battery maintenance, resolving port challenges, and streamlining the manufacturing process. In a straightforward commitment MITI and MICCI will work hand in hand, revolutionizing Malaysia’s industrial landscape and ensuring readiness for the future of clean energy and electric mobility.
