MICCI Northern 10th Annual Branch Election Meeting

MICCI Northern held its 10th Annual Branch Election Meeting on 10 December 2025 at Olive 1, Olive Tree Hotel, Penang, to elect the Branch Executive Committee for the year 2026. As there were 15 nominations received, an election had to be held. With 31 members present inclusive of approved proxies, quorum was adequate to proceed with the election. The election was held by ballot.

Upon counting of ballots the following were announced as the elected members of the Branch Committee 2026;

1. 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗼’ 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗸 𝗜𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻, Executive Director & CEO, Amalgamated Stevedoring Corporation Sdn Bhd

2. 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗿, General Manager, Eastern & Oriental Hotel Sdn Bhd

3. 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗼’ 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗻, President & CEO, Fumakilla Malysia Berhad

4. 𝗗𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗼𝗵 𝗣𝗼𝗵 𝗛𝘂𝗮𝘁, Director, Henry Butcher Malaysia (Penang) Sdn Bhd

9. 𝗟𝗶𝗺 𝗛𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝗞𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗺, Northern Region Office Leader, Assurance Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers PLT – Penang

10.𝗧𝗲𝗼𝗵 𝗦𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗴, Area Head Wholesale Banking, United Overseas Bank Malaysia Berhad.

The 10 elected Executive Committee members then left the meeting proper to elect the Branch Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Treasurer from amongst themselves. When they returned to the Branch Election Meeting, it was announced that, Dato’ Brian Tan Guan Hooi was re-elected as the Branch Chairman, Dato’ Sasedharan Vasudevan as the Branch Vice-Chairman I, Mr Lim Huck Khiam as the Branch Vice-Chairman II, with Dr Mary Ann Harris the Branch Treasurer.

The Branch Chairman, Dato’ Brian Tan, upon return to the Election Meeting announced that, in support of the MICCI Councils, the appointment of additional members will be deliberated and announced via letter of appointment.
