Dear Members,
We are pleased to share that MICCI Perak recently hosted a business engagement session with LuMIC Development Sdn Bhd (LuMIC DevCo), together with representatives from Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk) and Port of Antwerp-Bruges International (PoABI).

The session provided an insightful overview of the Lumut Maritime Industrial City (LuMIC) initiative, a strategic joint venture between PKNPk and PoABI aimed at developing Lumut into a sustainable, innovative, and globally competitive maritime and industrial hub. The discussion also explored emerging industry trends and potential areas for collaboration between LuMIC and the private sector.

The presentation highlights:
- LuMIC’s vision and strategic development plans.
- Existing and future industrial and maritime infrastructure.
- Investment and business opportunities across various sectors, including multipurpose terminals, logistics, minerals, LNG, MRO, green ship recycling, food & cold chain, and circular economy initiatives.
- Federal and State Government support, available incentives, strategic connectivity, and competitive industrial land offerings.
- LuMIC DevCo has also expressed its interest in engaging with MICCI member companies that may wish to explore investment, business, or collaboration opportunities within the LuMIC ecosystem.
